GLUTEN!!! very deadly......

                                                                      GLUTEN
Gluten is very deadly.... says many scientists. We are all familiar with the protein called gluten which is normally found in wheat and other grains. Gluten is a large, water-soluble protein that creates the elasticity in dough. It’s found in grains such as wheat, rye, barley, triticale, and oats. These days it’s also found in additives like thickeners and fillers used in everything from lunch meat to soup to candy. Gluten is a protein found in wheat that gives elasticity to dough, helping it to rise and keep its shape. Gluten is a combination of gliadin and glutenin, which is joined with starch in various grains. Gliadin is what enables bread to rise properly while glutenin is the major protein in wheat flour, making up 47% of the total protein content.

Gluten sensitivity or intolerance was rare but now it is believed to affect a third of the population.. It is considered a genetically influenced auto immune disease, but sometimes doesn’t show up until a person is in his thirties or forties.

This is what happens!!!
If a person who is intolerant to gluten takes a food which contains gluten in it, this protein starts initiating a kind of allergic reaction. This may result in inflammation. But it can vary from person to person. The symptoms include dermatitis, fatigue, joint pain, acid reflux, abnormal menses and infertility. So it can almost kill a person it is left untreated. These people can even be asymptomatic at least for a certain period of life.

In serious cases this intolerance can lead to intestinal atrophy known as celiac disease .celiac disease is generally considered an autoimmune disorder. The name celiac derives from the greek word for hollow as in bowels. The proteins  prompts the body to turn on itself and attack the small intestine.

When people with Celiac Disease eat foods or use products containing gluten, their immune system responds by damaging the small intestine. The tiny, fingerlike protrusions lining the small intestine are damaged or destroyed. Called villi, they normally allow nutrients from food to be absorbed into the bloodstream.

Without healthy villi, a person becomes malnourished, regardless of the quantity or quality of food eaten.Recognizing Celiac Disease can be difficult because some of its symptoms mirror those of other diseases.

Almost all the types of food we consume today like pasta, maggi , chappathi, roti ,etc are all made up of gluten protein. As a result the person who is gluten deficient cant uptake proper nutrients from the food due to the disorder as a result the person becomes weak and at the end the person dies. The major point about this is that the symptoms cannot be seen visibly in our body.

Thus this healthy gluten is very healthy but at times it can be dangerous also everything which seems healthy may be harmful also!!.. the deadly killer is sitting right in your plate everyday to face u, if u are bold enough to have a gut for it then  you are saved else once gone, is gone forever..
